Dr Mary Ruth is a veterinarian here at San Benito Veterinary Center. Her love for animals was apparent at a young age, she spent a lot of time pet sitting, dog walking, and taking in and caring for strays including a baby chick and volunteering at a local veterinary hospital. Dr Ruth attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She attended vet school at Ross University on the beautiful island of St Kitts, finishing her clinical year at Cornell University.
After vet school Dr Ruth returned to California. She was fortunate to start her career working with mentors that exemplified the role of veterinary medicine. She strives to provide fear free preventative wellness care and client education to her patients and their families.
When not at work she can be found spending time with her wonderful husband and three amazing and very active teenage daughters. Her family has quite the zoo, including five cats, four dogs including a bonafide super mutt, two horses and two geriatric ponies, a Moluccan cockatoo, a variety of reptiles and egg laying chickens. She loves fostering kittens and her struggle with foster fails are real. In her limited free time she loves gardening and crochet.
Hello, my name is Bree I am the Practice Manager here at San Benito Veterinary Center. I have been living in Hollister since 2007 with my husband and growing family which consists of our daughter, 3 dogs (2 rescues) , 3 cats and a snake. When we spend our free time camping and exploring nature. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2017! My goal here at San Benito Veterinary Center as the Practice Manager is to create a comfortable and welcoming place for our staff, clients and their animals.
My name is Marissa and I am a veterinary technician at SBVC. I have been a tech for the last 7 years and I love my job. The best part of my job is helping animals big and small of all shapes and sizes. I have always had a true passion for being around animals and sometimes I can be known as the bunny lady or corgi queen. On my spare time outside of work I love spending time with my family and especially my daughter. So that makes me a part time mommy and with that I am hoping to advance in my studies to get my RVT license. My life is very busy but it is also great because I truly have the best of both worlds.
I've always loved working with animals and have been doing so for 16 years now. It's rewarding helping patients who don't have a voice of their own. In my time away from work, I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends.
